5th October 2012
Maria Bambina Primary School in Mellieha were holding their Animal Awareness Day today and we were invited to tell the children about our work. We took 2 (of the 6) kittens and of course they had a lot of attention of the children! We told their story (that their mother was killed by a car) and a small boy asked why we didn't try to find their daddy (!). When we told him that the father was not there and that the mommy has to take care of the babies, he said that a father could take care of the babies too! So sweet! He must have a very good father! The pets of the children (and our kittens!) were all blessed by the attending priest. The children collected catfood for us for which we want to thank them! Thank you Maria Bambina Primary School! Unfortunately there were no pictures taken of our presentation.... |
