Our garage door is always open at the bottom so cats who are roaming in our street can come for a meal (we are a food bank! 😁) and this male has been coming for a long time but we never could catch him. Until today....
We took him to the vet to be neutered and the vet saw that he had a very bad mouth, 9 teeth had to be extracted!
He needs 7 days antibiotics and painkillers so he's in our recovery, he's not very grateful and is hissing and attacking us all the time 🙀
Sorry for the bad picture as I couldn't come close to him 😉

A little update on the cats we took in lately: MARLEY and HONEY
MARLEY didn't settle well in the beginning as he didn't want to come inside although he was bullied by one of the other cats (Monty) in the cat house and outside. We did everything to bring him in but he didn't want, most probably because he has been living outside for a long time but finally he found his way! 😁

HONEY didn't take a long time to settle! And that's how we like it!
She's only here since last Tuesday but she made our house her home without any problems!
The first day she was hiding but the next day she came out already and by now she made herself the queen of the house!

Last week we've received a message from a lady (tourist) who told us that there was a very sweet cat coming to the villa where she was staying (in Mellieha) and she wondered if it was a lost cat as she was so friendly and didn't seem to be a stray; she seemed to be neutered recently as she still had some stitches on the side, her ears were intact (usually vets make a little V-cut when they neuter strays) so I posted her on several Facebook pages (also on my page "Lost and found CATS Malta") but unfortunately nobody claimed her.
The lady was getting very worried and upset as she's leaving to the UK tomorrow and was worried about the wellbeing of the cat once she wouldn't be here anymore.
And there we went again... 😁 although we're so full up and decided NOT to take in ANY more cats, we just couldn't look away as this lovely lady could just have left the cat behind without any worries. But... she didn't!
So... we told here that we would take her in.
Today she brought her here and we'll give her the VERY best life!
She called her HONEY so this will be her name.

VET DAY
MIMI had a dental. She already had a dental last year but she looked uncomfortable lately so we booked her for another one. It was really needed as another 6 teeth had to be extracted!
She's on antibiotics and pain killer for 5 days.

ROGER was also looking uncomfortable lately so we took him also to check his mouth. He only has a few teeth left as most of them were extracted 2 years ago but he had ulcers (again) so he had a steroid injection.
