We took Kitty to the vet as she wasn't feeling well these last days.
She was still eating well but we had our doubts since last week as now and then it looked like she was loosing her balance but the next day she was looking fine...
Yesterday we saw that something was really wrong with her so we made an appointment at the vet for today (due to COVID-19 vet visits are only by appointments, no walk ins).
This morning she was examined and the result was that she had kidney failure, diabetes and most probably more underlying internal problems.
So sad... cats can hide their illness so well!
The only thing we could do for her was to send her over the rainbow bridge so she wouldn't suffer anymore.
RIP dear Kitty.

Due to COVID-19 we're keeping our vet visits to a minimum; only when it's really needed we're going.
Today it was the first time as we saw that Mickey had blood in his urine in the weekend and of course we were very worried as this could mean a blockage.
I spoke to our vet on Sunday and she explained how to examine him; it looked like he wasn't blocked but I wasn't sure and made an appointment for today.
He had an ultrasound and this showed he wasn't blocked but has a urine infection so he got antibiotics for 10 days.
It still COULD be that he has some crystals in his urine so we're keeping a close eye on him!
During the examination it showed that he also has some ulcers in his mouth and was given a steroid injection.
Poor boy! Hopefully he'll recover soon!

COVID-19 is hitting us
In March 2020 we've received € 52,50 in donations...
And our expenses were € 1.700,--....
Do we need to worry?
Of course we worry!
We have the responsibility for approximately 200 cats daily (85 in our sanctuary and 125+ in colonies) and they need food!
We completely understand that everybody has problems at this time but we count on you and still have high hopes that you'll support us and will donate. Every little thing helps!
Thank you!!!
