Today we had to say goodbye to our lovely Picolina.
We knew that this day was coming as she suffered from severe kidney disease and was deteriorating quickly these last days although she was still a happy cat but she became skin and bones.
Yesterday we noticed that her body was giving up so we kept her warm and comfortable; we expected that she would pass away last night but she passed away peacefully early this morning.

TOYA was neutered today. We felt so sorry for her as she's still such a little baby but she was already twice on heat so we had to do it now.
It was a long wait as she didn't want to go to sleep so the vet had to give her a second sedation and after neutering she was very cold and they placed her on a hot water bottle.
I was worried sick but eventually she was ok and could be taken home.

This morning I went again to try to catch the cat with nose cancer.
I asked a friend, Petra, to come with me so she could distract her and yes, I managed to catch her with the over trap.
From one side I was happy, but from the other side I was so sad because this cat spent her whole life in the streets and never knew love..
I didn't want to call Animal Welfare (government department) as they are so rough so we took her to our vet who advised to put her to sleep. We expected this but at least she was loved in her last moments...
We buried her in our garden.

I was called by somebody from the South (we're in the North) and was asked to catch a cat who has severe nose cancer.
Although I don't go out catching anymore, because I don't have time, I went...
I was told that Animal Welfare (government department) went already but didn't manage to catch her... not very encouraging!
And it was true... impossible to catch!
As soon as I came close to her, she went hiding under a car...
I will go back later this week as she can't be left in the streets like this.
