We've welcomed two more cats from Mellieha Bay Hotel; please meet Cruikshank and her son Tim.

By the way... we've changed the name of Cruikshank into KACEY
We saw Marble, the old lady from Mellieha Bay Hotel, too old and fragile to live with all the other cats in the sanctuary so we decided to take her inside our home where she can enjoy her retirement.

Marble is doing MUCH better!

Marble (from Mellieha Bay Hotel) didn't look that good as she was still drooling a lot and was keeping her tongue out again.
So we took her to the vet again and poor baby had a bad infection in her mouth; she had a steroid injection and antibiotics for 8 days.
A complete blood test was done also (a hefty bill!) and Thank God for the rest she's healthy!

We've welcomed another lovely boy from Mellieha Bay Hotel: Dobby.
He's such a sweetheart, a real softie.
We'll make sure that he'll have the very best life with us but he would like to have his own home as he's being bullied by the other cats.
If you're interested in adopting him, please complete our Adoption Request Form.

Marble, the old lady we took in from Mellieha Bay Hotel, kept her tongue out, was dribbling all the time and obviously had pain when she started eating so she hardly ate anything.
For us a sign that something was wrong with her teeth so we took her to the vet today and we were very right as ALL her teeth had to be extracted! She also had ear mites for which she was treated.
Poor Marble but also lucky Marble as she was already much better in the evening and ate a whole pouch at once!

One of the biggest hotels in Mellieha (Mellieha Bay Hotel) is going to be demolished (to build another hotel) and closed on the 31st October 2019.
Very sad as it's a big area and a lot of stray cats are living there, all fed by volunteers.
The feeders are trying to re-home them and we managed to find some good homes but unfortunately there are some cats left and although we're full up, we couldn't leave them behind and decided to take them in.
On the 9th November 2019 Marble came in. A very sweet old lady, she's approximately 12 years old (or more?) and she'll enjoy her retirement in our sanctuary.

On the 11th November 2019 Monty came in.
He's the most lovely boy you can imagine! He only wants to be cuddled and is giving head butts whenever he sees us!
Of course we're happy to keep him with us but what he really needs is a home for himself where he can be cuddled the whole day!
So we're trying to find the very best home for him but if we don't succeed, he'll stay here forever. We NEVER home any cat/kitten if we're not 100% sure that it's the VERY best home!

Fuxa (our problem child) went to the vet again as his hind leg still looked terrible....
He got another steroid injection and antibiotics for 7-10 days.
