We have been trying to catch Christino for more than 2 years and finally we managed today!
He never went into the trap, no matter how nice food inside, but today we trapped him with the “overtrap” (nurses best friend), a small cage without a bottom which can be placed over a cat and after catching the bottom can be slided in. The best invention ever! |
Elvis was caught in the cat-trap and was VERY upset but he should be grateful because the neutered cats always have a very good check-up at the vet and he had very bad
teeth. Four teeth were removed and even a pellet, which was found under a tooth! Bloody Maltese hunters! They shoot everything they see! He needs antibiotics so he’ll stay in our recovery for 10 days. |

Mickey is doing a lot better.
He's eating very well so he gained quite some weight, he's taking his medicines and allows us to treat his eyes.
His left eye is still a problem because it's popping up all the time and there's a chance that it will burst again but
we're hoping that it will dry up by time.
His right eye came much better and he's seeing a little from it; most probably only shades because his eyelids are stuck together but hopefully he can be operated by time.
It's a long way to go but we're happy with any little progress!
He became a very sweet loving purring machine, always happy, which is heart-breaking but also gives us the courage to continue treating him the best way we can and to give him ALL the love he deserves...
