Lately it seems like only bad things are happening but fortunately this is not true.
Of course there are always some problems when you're taking care of so many cats (85 in our sanctuary at the moment) but in general they are all happy.

The kittens are also doing very well.
Max, Luca & Lana are growing fast and are now enjoying the yard during the day, in the evening they're going to sleep in the kitten room.
There were some people who wanted to adopt them but unfortunately there are not many good homes here and when we're not 100% sure that they are going to the very best home, they will stay here, where they are safe and happy.

Max is the most naughty and thinks he's already a big boy. He climbs in a tree and then doesn't know how to come down...
But of course there's mummy to save him....

I'm sorry for not updating you lately but I've been a bit under the weather these last weeks.
It has been another upsetting week as Champie was worrying us a lot because she was acting strange....
She didn't look like sick, she was eating and didn't have fever or whatever but she didn't want to go out in the garden anymore, was very quiet and was licking the tiles all the time.
So I took her to the vet last Wednesday for a check up; a general blood test and a FIV/FeLV test was done and my biggest fear came true: she was FeLV positive! A BIG shock!
As FeLV is VERY contagious, it's impossible to have a FeLV positive cat in a multi cat household/sanctuary so there was no other choice than to put her to sleep.
Soooooo sad, the pain to make this decision is unbelievable....
RIP little Champie, you will be in our hearts forever, we were so happy we saved you from a dangerous place and we loved you so much!
