VET-AT-HOME DAY
Some of our cats were having problems and going to the vet all the time was too much (for us and for the cats) as the heat in Malta is almost unbearable, we're having daily temperatures of around 40 degrees C (and above) for some weeks already and it seems not to be over yet.
So we were very happy that our vet could come today for a home visit.

PINKY
Had a dental last February (8 teeth were removed) but was having mouth problems again and was/is hardly eating anything.
There is a fragment of a root left so she had anti inflammatory injection and will have antibiotics for one week.
After this she will have another dental to remove the root fragment.
ROGER
Has gingivitis for which he was treated twice at the vet but he was still hardly eating.
He had an antibiotic injection and will have antibiotics for one week.
After this most probably all his teeth have to be removed.
TOMMY
Had a dental in May (7 teeth were extracted) and sometimes he's crying when eating.
He doesn't seem to have any problem but maybe a teeth pushes in his gums (where he doesn't have teeth).
We'll give him a painkiller when he's in pain.
RUDY
Had a cyst in his neck which was opened by the vet.
We'll keep an eye on it and if it comes back most probably it has to be removed.
MIMI
Has a growth/wart on her back which was examined.
Most probably nothing serious but we'll have to keep an eye on it and measure it once a month to see if it's coming bigger.
SALT
Has a sort of crust on his nose for some time and we were afraid that it was nose cancer but fortunately according to the vet it's most probably a fungus.
He had a short acting steroid injection and will have steroid tabs from this Friday.
MAGGIE and PURDY were both vaccinated.
