A male and a female from a colony were neutered.
Unfortunately the picture of the male didn't come up, he was hiding and only his ears are showing 😂

We received a belated Christmas present from a lovely lady who's always supporting us. This makes us sooooo happy!
As usual, RUDY wanted to be in the picture 😁

A sad day....
We took LISA to the vet as all of a sudden she was deteriorating; she was lively and happy until two days ago but last Wednesday she became lethargic and without any energy.
We suspected kidney failure and the need of a dental so we made an appointment for a check up and a blood test.
Her teeth weren't that bad, only two teeth at the back didn't look that good but the worst was the result of the blood test: she had severe kidney failure.
According to the vet there wasn't anything we could do for her so not to let her suffer we had to make the decision to put her to sleep. This is always the most terrible decision we have to make and it broke our hearts.
At least we know that she had 4 happy years with us as her story was quite sad.
In 2020 we were asked by Animal Welfare (government department) to take in two cats whose owner was an old lady with dementia and she had to go into a home. She didn't even know anymore that she had two cats..
Animal Welfare took them in first as they had to stay in their care to get checked by their vet. This took one month!
They were taken back and forth to the vet as they made a lot of mistakes by taking the wrong cat to the vet etc.
They were in a very bad condition: one of them had dermatitis behind both ears and possibly a polyp in her ear, ear mites and diarrhoea.

So sad!
So sad!
Finally, after one month they were brought here and we named them MONA and LISA.
Nobody knew their age, but for sure they were quite old, and nobody knew if they were sisters or mother and daughter.
We still think that they're mother and daughter as Lisa looked older than Mona.
When they came here they were completely traumatised and didn't even dare to come out of their hiding place, they were so scared!

After about three months they finally came out of their shell and from that time they always lived inside our house and were always together.
Fly high dear Lisa, you'll never be forgotten.
