With great sadness we had to say goodbye to our beloved Phoebe today.
He was over 16 years old -we don’t know exactly as when he came to us he was already a big grown up cat- and was having a lot of problems lately.
We took him to the vet several times and were always hoping that he would be better but this last week we noticed that besides being deaf, he also became blind due to ulcers on both eyes and he had breathing problems.
He was in pain and we followed the advice of our vet that euthanasia would be the kindest option.
It was a very hard decision but he had a very good life and we didn’t want to let him suffer any more.
RIP dear Phoebe xx

Today we had to say goodbye to our lovely Chica.
We took her to the vet this morning because she had problems to eat so we booked her in for a “dental” but when the vet saw her we were told that she was very dehydrated and had to stay there on a drip for the night so tomorrow the “dental” could be done.
This afternoon we received the sad news that the blood test showed that the bloods were very bad: anaemic and high white blood cells. The values of the kidney and liver weren’t reliable since the blood was very watery but from the anaemia the vet guessed that the kidneys were bad and she couldn’t have a drip as it would make it worse.
The advice of the vet was that euthanasia was the kindest option, given how bad she was.
We trust our vet 100%, she would never suggest euthanasia if it wouldn’t be the best so we had to make this horrible decision….

Goodbye dear Chica.
When you came to us you were already blind, due to cat flue, but you were always happy and you knew everything!
We are devastated but we know we did the very best for you, we loved you so much....
Until we meet again.
