MAMMY CAT finished her treatment and she looks GOOD!
Her ear will remain "crumbled" (cauliflower ear) but it looks like it doesn't bother her and today she came out for the first time to enjoy the sunshine!

Two more kittens who were dumped in our colonies were neutered.

BIRDY, who was found (dumped) in our garage, became such a beautiful, adorable kitten!
We would love to keep her here but we think she would be more happy to be the only cat in a (safe) home so we would like to find her a FOREVER home.
If you're interested, please send us an email or complete our adoption request form.

Two females and one male were neutered today.
These are the first three of the nine (!) kittens who were dumped in one of the colonies we feed.
Unfortunately this (dumping) is a common thing nowadays but we hope to catch the culprits one day....😡

We had a home visit from another vet today and we're VERY happy!
Our regular vet doesn't do home visits on a regular basis so we decided to ask a vet from our village to check some of our cats.

MAMMY CAT
She had antibiotics for 2 weeks, we were cleaning her ear daily (as advised) and put Oridermyl in her ear daily but she didn't come much better. Her (haematoma) ear kept on filling every day and we managed to drain it ourselves.
Our (regular) vet advised an operation but regarding her age (she's 15 years old) and bad results when other cats with a haematoma ear were operated, we didn't want surgery.
This (new) vet had a completely other opinion!
She told us that before they used to recommend surgery but not anymore. She advised to stop draining the ear as the blood will dry up by itself and she made a mix of antibiotics and steroids which was put in 7 syringes which we have to put inside her ear daily. We have to keep in the fridge and after 7 days she will make another batch.
Let's hope this works!

BIRDY
The kitten who was found/dumped in our garage is doing very well. She's very lovely and has been in our kitten room for quite some time. We've tried to find her a good home but unfortunately that's not easy so we decided to take her inside.
She had her first vaccination today.
She's still up for adoption (for the time being) so if you're interested in adopting her, please let us know.

BRO
Our lovely BRO who had such a bad start in life...
His bad leg is a bit shorter and a nail was growing in. This was causing him pain so it was cut. It was a VERY big nail!
He's feeling much better now!

LUCA
After all the trouble he had with his haematoma ear (which was operated but is still hanging down....) he has serious diarrhoea. Our (regular) vet gave us pro-biotics which he had for several weeks but unfortunately nothing changed.
Now he has antibiotics for 10 days and hopefully this will help him!

Thank you so much Dr. Rose Bonanno!
