These last few days have been a roller coaster. From ultimate happiness and fun to ultimate sadness...

This was a real FUN day!
I was invited for an interview by De Telegraaf, a leading newspaper in the Netherlands, who were doing a photo shoot in Malta and wanted to interview a Dutch woman living in Malta, preferably working with animals, and they found ME!😊
I really didn't know what to expect and went into it completely blanc but it turned out to be a wonderful day with such a professional, super sweet team!
I was interviewed, hair and make up was done by a hairdresser/make up artist and a lot of pictures were taken by the lovely photographer. It was really overwhelming!
Our cats weren't that much impressed but hopefully the final pictures will turn out good!
Unfortunately I can't post any of their professional pictures here at this time (as I don't have them yet), I'll have to wait until it's published in "VROUW" (a magazine from De Telegraaf) but once it's there, I'll post it here!
I only have a personal picture at this time, with the beautiful Fashion and Beauty Editor/Writer journalist Kim.

Unfortunately the day didn't end well..
Last Saturday we noticed that MAX wasn't feeling well. He wasn't eating and stayed on the floor under the bed so we made an appointment at the vet for Monday 3rd March early morning.
But... that evening he was crying and I stayed with him on the floor, wrapped in a soft blanket, it was heart breaking.
At 4 am Charlie took over, took him out of the bedroom and stayed with him in his arms.
Soon after, he passed away in his arms....😥
We were devastated (and still are) as we don't know what was wrong with him. He was a beautiful big healthy cat, never had any problems and then this!
According to the vet, most probably he had a tumour but we'll never know....
Fly high over the rainbow bridge dear Max, we loved you so much and we'll never forget you! 💔💖

As if this wasn't enough, on Monday evening 3rd March, we heard a cat crying and we found Heppin laying on the floor.
She couldn't move her back legs so we took her into the kitten room and rang the vet to make an appointment for early Tuesday morning.
The vet couldn't examine her properly as she was very aggressive so she had to be sedated to take blood for a blood test and to take X-rays.
It showed that she has an inflammation in her right back leg.
She had several injections and she's on anti-inflammatory for 7-10 days and extra vitamins.
We'll have to see how it goes....
